Creator Takahiro, Studio Gokumi supervise FuRyu's February 26 "slice-of-life!? hero club action game"

Game developer FuRyu announced on Friday that it is currently developing a game based on the original TV anime series Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero). Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Jukai no Kioku (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Memory of the Woodland) will be a one-player "slice-of-life!? hero club action game" for the PlayStation Vita.

The anime's creator Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) and Studio Gokumi are supervising all aspects of the game's story and events. The game will have both battle action sequences and over 70 events depicting the daily life of the Hero Club. The cast members of the anime will reprise their roles to voice all dialogue in the game.

The game will debut in a packaged retail edition for 6,480 yen (about US$61), in a limited edition for 9,480 yen (about US$89), and via download for 6,000 yen (about US$56) on February 26. Pre-ordered copies will come with an original mini clear file folder .

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

The anime stars Haruka Terui as Yūki Yūna, Yumi Uchiyama as Fu Inubozaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Itsuki Inubozaki, and Suzuko Mimori as Mimori Tōgo. The four voice actresses perform the opening theme "Hoshi to Hana" (Stars & Flowers), as well as the ending theme "Aurora Days."

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation) is directing the series based on an original plan by Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) at Studio Gokumi. Makoto Uezu is handling series composition and BUNBUN is designing the characters. Crunchyroll is stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
