Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru Anime Gets PC Game Bundled With Home Video Releases

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Fully-voiced visual novel with 10 new scenarios ships with 1st DVD/Blu-ray on December 17

The official website for the original TV anime series Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru is listing that the first DVD and Blu-ray volume that will be released in Japan will bundle a PC game with first print copies.

The PC game will have scenarios by Takahiro and Osamu Murata, and will be developed by Minato Soft. The game will feature ten different scenarios, including a sleepover, cosplaying, and a hot spring. The scenarios- which will not be shown in the anime- will be fully voiced by the original cast. The graphics for the game will be handled by Studio Gokumi, who is also producing the animation for the television series.

The first home video release of the anime will ship in Japan on December 17. The first print copies will come bundled with the PC game, a three-sided plastic case with original art by BUNBUN, a large, special package with dimensions of 192mm by 192mm, a Digipack drawn by the character designer, and a 12-page full-color booklet. On-disc extras include non-credit endings for the first opening and ending sequence, the Yuna version TV spot, online previews for episodes two and three, as well as both the package and on-air 1-hour special versions of the first two episodes.

The series stars Haruka Terui as Yūki Yūna, Yumi Uchiyama as Fu Inubozaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Itsuki Inubozaki, and Suzuko Mimori as Mimori Tōgo. The four voice actresses perform the opening theme "Hoshi to Hana" (Stars & Flowers), as well as the ending theme "Aurora Days."

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation) is directing the series based on an original plan by Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) at Studio Gokumi. Makoto Uezu is handling series composition and BUNBUN is designing the characters.

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

The series premiered in Japan on Thursday, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
