Rokka no Yūsha Fantasy Light Novels Get TV Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
6 heroes are chosen to save the world from a dark enemy — but 7 show up

The wraparound jacket band on Kei Toru's third Rokka no Yūsha manga volume is announcing on Friday that a television anime adaptation of Ishio Yamagata's original Rokka no Yūsha fantasy light novel series has been green-lit.

The story centers around six heroes — except seven appear instead. One must be a fake and the heroes' enemy.

When the Majin awoke from the depths of darkness, the deity of fate chose six heroes and bequeathed them with the power to save the world. Adoretto, a boy who proclaims himself the strongest on Earth, was selected among the Rokka no Yūsha (Heroes of the Six Flowers), and he goes to the rendezvous point — but seven have gathered there. The heroes suspect that someone among the seven is the enemy, and the initial suspicion falls on Adoretto.

Yamagata launched the novel series with illustrations by Miyagi in 2011, and Shueisha's Dash X Bunko imprint is publishing the fifth volume on Friday. Yamagata wrote the orignal Tatakau Shisho light novel series that inspired The Book of Bantorra anime, and Toru has also drawn the Akame ga KILL! ZERO manga.
