Noitamina Announces Punch Line Original Anime

Tetsuya Komuro composes music for MAPPA anime series about boy who will destroy world if he sees underwear

Fuji TV programming block Noitamina announced during its "Noitamina Announcement Conference 2015" that it will premiere a new original TV anime titled Punch Line in April 2015.


Yutaka Uemura will direct the series at MAPPA from scripts by Kōtarō Uchikoshi, who is best-known for his scripts for the adventure visual novel Ever17. Music producer and composer Tetsuya Komuro will score the anime's music, and MAGES. will produce the show.

In addition, Shōta Iwasaki will design the characters, which include:


Yūta Iritatsu, the protagonist whose spirit has been separated from his body.


Mikatan Narukino, a bright and spacey idol.


Lovera Chichibu, a gal-style fishy spiritual medium.


Ito Hikiotani, a NEET who plays online games.


Meika Taihatsu, a genius inventor who loves her grandfather.

The staff hinted that the reason Komuro was chosen for composer is due to the fact that the anime has a strong connection to music. The slogan for the anime is, "Once he sees underwear, humanity is destroyed!?"
