September film about girl whose words were sealed away

The official website for The Anthem of the Heart (Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterun Da.), the original anime film from the anohana (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.) and Toradora! anime staff, posted a teaser video and character profiles on Saturday. The same video debuted at the anime's AnimeJapan 2015 stage event on Saturday.

Narration: A feeling she can't say to anyone, that she locked in a cage in her heart
Narration: But really…
Text: She wants to scream out her true feelings
Narration: A girl who hurt people with her words
Narration: Had her words sealed away
Narration: So she couldn't speak ever again
Narration: Her meeting with music and allies
Narration: Begins to change her
Narration: A youthful film from the staff of anohana, the work that enveloped Japan in deep emotion.

The main cast and characters are:

Inori Minase as Jun Naruse, a girl whose words were sealed away

Kōki Uchiyama as Takumi Sakagami, an "airy" boy who does not speak his true feelings

Sora Amamiya as Natsuki Nidō, an honors student on the cheerleader squad who worries about love

Yoshimasa Hosoya as DAIKI Tazaki, a former baseball team ace

The film reunites staff members from the anohana and Toradora! anime. Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Certain Scientific Railgun, Waiting in the Summer) is again directing the film at the studio A-1 Pictures. Mari Okada (M3 the dark metal, Hana-Saku Iroha) is writing the script, and Masayoshi Tanaka (Highschool of the Dead, Joshiraku) is designing the characters. Like the anohana anime, the story of the new film will be set in Chichibu.

Aniplex of America announced in February that it has licensed the film. The film will open in Japan on September 19, and participating theaters will begin offering advance tickets with an Egg Fairy mascot mobile phone strap on March 28.
