Story, limited-edition bonuses revealed for dating sim game

The August issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine revealed on Saturday that the To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness: True Princess PlayStation Vita game will ship on November 5.

In the game's story, Rito loses his memories because of "a certain happening." He doesn't remember anything after meeting Lala, and the game's story will involve the various heroines expressing their love to Rito. The game will have 11 characters in which players can romance.

Furyu is developing the "eagerly anticipated full-fledged dating simulation game." The game will retail for 6,980 yen (about US$57), and the complete first-pressing limited edition will retail for 8,980 yen (US$73). The download version will retail for 6,480 yen (US$53).

The limited edition will include a special-illustrated package, a product code for a game-original "transparency goggles" that allow players to see through the outer layer of clothing of the characters, a "Momo x Mea" blanket featuring an image of them sleeping side-by-side, and 11 different cover jackets for each of the characters.

Those who pre-order the game will get a product code card for character navigation voices.

Kentarō Yabuki and Saki Hasemi's To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga, a sequel of the first To Love-Ru -Trouble- series, launched in Jump Square in 2010. The series has 14 million copies in print. Sentai Filmworks licensed the 2012 television anime series, and The Anime Network streamed the series in North America.

The second season, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness 2nd, will premiere on July 6, and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for home video. Crunchyroll will stream the series.

The franchise already inspired an earlier PS Vita game, the "ultra-pleasant harem action" game To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness: Battle Ecstasy. That game shipped in May 2014.
