KOTOKO to perform at Canada convention, Takeshi Takadera also to attend

Vancouver convention Anirevo announced last week that it will host voice actors and actresses Yuu Asakawa, Nobuyuki Hiyama, and Minami Takahashi at this year's event. The convention also announced that sound director Takeshi Takadera will attend the con and musician KOTOKO will perform.

Asakawa has voiced roles in more than 70 anime titles, including Love Hina (Motoko), Azumanga Daioh (Sakaki), Bubblegum Crisis 2040 (Priss), and Amagami SS (Hibiki), and she also lent her voice to the Vocaloid 2 virtual singer character Megurine Luka. Asakawa sang theme songs for Bubblegum Crisis 2040, the Love Hina X'mas Special - Silent Eve, and Majikoi - Oh! Samurai Girls, and voiced roles in the Final Fantasy XIII and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII video games. Recently, she voiced Rider in Fate/stay night and Leone in Akame ga KILL!

This year's Anirevo will be Asakawa's 10th appearance at a North American convention.

Hiyama is the voice of Kill la Kill's Uzu Sanageyama and Yū Yū Hakusho's Hiei. He also provided the voice for Link in video games The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

Takahashi provided the voice for Kuroka in High School DxD, Megumi Tadokoro in Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Sōma and Rumina Rikyū in Mikagura School Suite.

At the convention, she will join Takadera (Yowamushi Pedal, Psychic Detective Yakumo, Absolute Duo!, Kyōkai no Rinne) for a live voice recording session.

KOTOKO performed her first anime theme song in 2001 for the television series Please Teacher!. She later performed opening songs for television series such as Hayate the Combat Butler, Destiny of the Shrine Maiden, Shakugan no Shana, Accel World, and Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS. Her latest anime theme song performance was for the 2014 series Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen.

KOTOKO has previously performed at Animazement in 2012 and 2013. She made her North American debut at Anime Expo in 2005.

Anirevo will take place August 14-16 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
