The Eden of Grisaia ~Sanctuary Fellows~ Manga Ends

Single compiled volume to ship September 19

Akita Shoten's online magazine Champion Cross published the conclusion of Shū Hirose's Grisaia no Rakuen ~Sanctuary Fellows~ (The Eden of Grisaia ~Sanctuary Fellows~) manga on Monday. The comic also reveals that Akita Shoten will publish the manga's single compiled book volume on September 19.

The Eden of Grisaia ~Sanctuary Fellows~ is a sequel to Hirose's Grisaia no Meikyū ~Sanctuary Fellows (The Labyrinth of Grisaia ~Sanctuary Fellows~) manga, which ended in March. The Labyrinth of Grisaia adapted the second in the series of visual novels by Frontwing.

Hirose's manga adaptation of the first visual novel in the series, The Fruit of Grisaia ~Sanctuary Fellows~, ended in November 2014.

Sekai Project ran a successful Kickstarter campaign last October to bring all three visual novels in the series — The Fruit of Grisaia, The Labyrinth of Grisaia, and The Eden of Grisaia — to the West. The three games were green-lit for distribution under Steam Greenlight in January.

An anime adaptation of the original visual novel also began last October. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for North American release. The Labyrinth of Grisaia anime special premiered on April 12, followed by The Eden of Grisaia television series on April 19.

The story takes place at the private Mihama Academy, where five girls who seem normal attend the school due to "certain reasons." A sixth student "with reasons" named Yūji Kazami transfers in. Yūji has an ego with such darkness that he does not fade in comparison to the five girls, who are so different from the norm. As they each meet each other, they deepen their understanding of one another. Through the small bits of progress they make, each of their hearts will be affected. When Yūji arrives, a story of girls who are trapped by their pasts begins.
