Taishi Mori, Sai Sasano, Kōtarō Takata, more to also launch new series in Monthly Shonen Sunday

The December issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine announced on Thursday that Minoru Toyoda (Love Roma) will begin publishing a series of standalone one-shot manga in the magazine's March issue in February.

Toyoda previously drew a similar collection of five one-shot manga collectively titled Catch & Throw in 2011.

Del Rey published all five volumes of Toyoda's Love Roma manga in North America. He went on to publish Tomodachi 100-nin Dekiru kana (I Wonder If I Can Make 100 Friends) in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine and Takewo-chan Bukkai Roku in Shogakukan's Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine.

He began serializing Saikin no Aka-san, his most recent manga, in Shogakukan's Hibana magazine this year after launching the the manga on Twitter last year. His other ongoing manga series is Obake no Sally in Shogakukan's Shōgaku Ichinensei magazine.

Monthly Shonen Sunday will also begin serializing two new manga series by manga creators Sai Sasano and Kyukkyupon. Sasano's new series is titled Misoshiro de Kanpai!, and it will debut in the magazine's February issue on January 12. Sasano previously published a short manga of the same name in the magazine in July.

Rookie manga creator Kyukkyupon's series is temporarily titled Sayonara Szondi, and it will debut in the magazine's April issue in March. The magazine describes the manga as follows: "The setting is the early Showa era, Shanghai. A story about the destiny of two people's destinies split apart by the war."

The magazine further notes that Kōtarō Takata (Hallelujah Overdrive!), Taishi Mori (Kyō no Asuka Show), and Haruka Shii (Yoshitoo-sama!) are also planning new manga that they will serialize in the magazine.
