Tokyo ESP, Noein, No Game No Life Released Monday

On Monday March 28, Anime Limited will release the series Tokyo ESP as both a Collector's Edition (pictured) and a standard DVD. The series is based on Hajime Segawa's original science fantasy manga, which begins with Rinka (Ibuki Kido), a Tokyo high school girl. She gains extraordinary powers - in her case, the ability to slip through solid objects. So do many other people, and some of them declare war on ordinary humans.

The Collectors Edition comes with a slipcase and a 20-page art book.

Anime Limited will also release Noein - to your other self on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK. The 24-part television anime debuted in 2005, and Manga Entertainment previously released the series on DVD. Kazuki Akane (The Vision of Escaflowne, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled) directed the series at Satelight and collaborated with Hiroshi Ohnogi (Aquarion, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Arjuna) on the series composition.

In the story, twelve-year old Haruka and her friend Yuu are contemplating running away from home when they are visited by a man named Karasu, a member of the "Dragon Cavalry" that is searching for a mysterious object that is the key to stopping the annihilation of all space and time. Karasu claims to be Yuu from fifteen years in the future, and believes that Haruka has this object.

MVM will release the series No Game, No Life on both Blu-ray and DVD. Sentai Filmworks previously described the story:

On the internet, they're legends: the tag-team duo known as BLANK, famed for their incredible game-playing skills. In the real world, however, the lives of 18 year old Sora and his 11 year old stepsister Shiro have been spiraling out of control. Now existing as shut-ins, they rarely leave their house and are unable to be separated without suffering panic attacks. Games, for them, are the safest retreat from reality. Until they win a chess match against a mysterious opponent known as Tet and find themselves pulled into a game bigger than any they could have ever imagined. Now, in a world where the outcome of games determines the fates of both civilizations and species, they must defend Humanity in the ultimate challenge, vying against a host of otherworldly competitors for the right to rule them all! But if they fail, it means slavery or destruction for all mankind. No pressure, of course! Can two misfits who can barely handle their own lives somehow rise to the occasion and save the human race?

MVM will also release the harem/gender-swap series Kämpfer on both Blu-ray and DVD. Adapted from Toshihiko Tsukiji's light novel series, the story centres on Natsuru Senō, an ordinary high school boy who suddenly wakes up one morning as a girl. Natsuru discovers that has he/she has been chosen to participate in Kämpfer battles with other girls. The MVM edition will include both the original 12-part TV series and the 2-part OVA sequel, Kämpfer für die Liebe.

MVM's final release on Monday is Kill Me Baby, on both Blu-ray and DVD. The series adapts Kaduho's four-panel comedy manga. Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hatsukoi Limited) directed the anime at J.C. Staff (A Certain Magical Index, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes), and Hideki Shirane of Dream Eater Merry and Aria: The Scarlet Ammo was in charge of the scripts. Shinya Hasegawa (Ikki Tousen, Otome Yōkai Zakuro) handled the character designs.

The cast for the series includes Mutsumi Tamura as Sonya, the assassin girl who happens to attend an ordinary school; Ai Takabe as Agiri Goshiki, a ninja in Sonya's organization; and Chinatsu Akasaki as Yasuna Oribe, a fearless yet not-so-smart girl and a self-described "friend" of Sonya.

Finally, Anime Limited will release a standard edition of the first eight episodes of Kill la Kill on both Blu-ray and DVD.
