My Hero Academia: Battle for All 3DS Game's Play Videos Preview Characters

posted on by Kyle Hallmark
May 19 game features same voice cast as anime, includes side stories for each playable character

The official website of Bandai Namco Entertainment's My Hero Academia: Battle for All Nintendo 3DS game began streaming two gameplay videos on Friday and Sunday for Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugō, respectively.

The video for Izuku previews his gameplay mechanics, including a "one for all gauge" that players can fill via the touch screen that will increase Izuku's offensive power when it is full. However, performing special moves while the gauge is full will also damage Izuku.

The Katsuki video previews mechanics such as "nitro gauges" that players can fill by tapping the touch screen that will increase Katsuki's damage when all three are full. The video also reveals that the next gameplay video will feature Ochaco Uraraka.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the game on May 19.

The game's official website previously streamed the game's second promotional video and a commercial last month. The website streamed the game's first promotional video in December.

Each playable character in the game will have a side story that can be unlocked by beating the main story mode, as well as character customization options. The game's voice cast are reprising their roles from the currently airing television anime series.

In the game, players aim to become the "No. 1 hero," and the manga's characters will appear with their unique powers. The game will retail for 5,700 yen (about US$50). Those who purchase the first edition of the game will get two cards for the Boku no Hero Academia: Gekitotsu! Heroes Battle (My Hero Academia: Clash! Heroes Battle) arcade card game as well as a download code for a Nintendo 3DS theme.

The Boku no Hero Academia: Gekitotsu! Heroes Battle arcade card game will launch in Japanese arcades this month.
