Natsume Ono's ACCA Manga Ends in October

posted on by Karen Ressler
Series began in 2013; anime adaptation slated for January

This year's 10th issue of Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine announced on Saturday that Natsume Ono's ACCA 13-Ku Kansatsu-Ka (ACCA: 13th Ward Observation Department) manga will end in the next issue on October 25.

Ono launched the manga series in Monthly Big Gangan magazine in June 2013. Square Enix shipped the fifth compiled volume in May.

The manga is set in a world separated into 13 wards, with each ward having an observation division controlled by the organization known as "ACCA." The story centers on Jean, known as the craftiest member of ACCA.

An anime adaptation has been greenlit and will premiere in January.

Since she made her debut in 2003 with La Quinta Camera - 5 Banme no Heya, Ono's works have included House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso, Gente - Ristorante no Hitobito, Tesoro, and Not Simple. Viz Media has published all of these titles in North America. Kodansha Comics also published Ono's Danza manga in English. Other manga by Ono include her ongoing Lady and Oldman manga, the House of Five Leaves spinoff manga Kozure Dōshin, and Futagashira, which she recently ended.
