Eromanga Sensei Anime Reveals Lead Voice Actor, Main Staff

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka plays Masamune, Ryohei Takeshita directs, Cinderella Girls' Tatsuya Takahashi writes

A Nico Nico Live stream for the anime of Tsukasa Fushimi's light novel series announced the anime's lead voice actor and main staff on Tuesday. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is playing Masamune Izumi, and Ryohei Takeshita (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun chief animation director) and Tatsuya Takahashi (And you thought there is never a girl online?, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) are directing and supervising the series scripts, respectively.

The Eromanga Sensei "new sibling romantic comedy" revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune's little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn't left her room for an entire year. She even forces her brother to make and bring her meals when she stomps on the floor. Masamune wants his sister to leave her room, because the two of them are each other's only family.

Masamune's novel illustrator, penname "Eromanga Sensei," draws extremely perverted drawings, and is very reliable. Masamune had never met his illustrator, and figured he was just a disgusting, perverted otaku. However, the truth is revealed that his "Eromanga Sensei" is his own younger sister. To add to the chaos that erupts between the siblings, a beautiful, female, best-selling shōjo manga creator becomes their rival.

Akane Fujita (Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara.'s Yuzuka Hanami) is playing Sagiri Izumi in the anime. Fujita is reprising the role from an earlier visual drama that was broadcast on Nico Nico.

Shinichiro Kashiwada is serving as the producer of the project, and Aniplex and A-1 Pictures are producing the anime.

Fushimi launched the light novel series in 2013 after finishing the Oreimo (Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) light novel series, which also inspired an anime. As with Oreimo, Hiro Kanzaki draws the illustrations for Eromanga Sensei.
