This week's issue of Kadokawa's Weekly Famitsu magazine is reporting the voice cast for Spike Chunsoft's New Danganronpa V3: Minna no Koroshiai Shin Gakki (New Danganronpa V3: Everyone's New Semester of Killing) PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game on Thursday. The cast members are, in Japanese phonetic order:

  • Haruka Ishida
  • Kikuko Inoue
  • Akio Ohtsuka
  • Tetsuya Kakihara
  • Sayaka Kanda
  • Ryohei Kimura
  • Mikako Komatsu
  • Maaya Sakamoto
  • Hiro Shimono
  • Minori Suzuki
  • Kenichi Suzumura
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi
  • Aimi Tanaka
  • Tarako
  • Sora Tokui
  • Megumi Hayashibara
  • Hikaru Midorikawa
  • Kouichi Yamadera (listed five times)

The issue's four-page feature on the game will publish the rules and other secrets of the game's Saishū Academy setting.

The game will ship on January 12. A limited edition will be available on that day with the brand-new original anime Super Danganronpa 2.5 Kamaeda Nagito to Sekai no Hakaisha (Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World) on Blu-ray. New Danganronpa V3: Minna no Koroshiai Shin Gakki's limited edition will also include the New Danganronpa V3 Saishū Academy Transcript, a Danganronpa Calendar 2017, a New Monokuma strap, a soundtrack and cast comment CD, and a card with a code to download an original custom theme.

The regular PS Vita edition will cost 6,400 yen (about US$64), while the limited PS Vita edition will cost 12,400 yen (US$124). The regular PlayStation 4 edition will cost 7,400 yen (US$74), while the limited PlayStation 4 edition will cost 13,400 yen (US$134).

The game is set in an academy fenced in by a massive cage. While New Danganronpa V3 will inherit the mascot character Monokuma and the basic system from previous games, it will not take place at Hope's Peak Academy and will not feature any other returning characters.

Sayaka Kanda plays the protagonist Kaede Akamatsu. Kanda previously played Junko Enoshima in the Danganronpa stage play. She also performed the opening and ending theme songs for Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc as part of Trustick.

NIS America released the first and second Danganronpa games on PS Vita in North America and Europe in 2014 under the names Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. It also released the spinoff game Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (Zettai Zetsubō Shōjo Danganronpa: Another Episode, or Absolute Despair Girl Danganronpa: Another Episode).

The first game inspired a television anime in 2013. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan and later released the series on home video. Funimation then streamed the Despair Arc, Future Arc, and Hope Arc for the Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School television anime as they aired in Japan.
