CLAMP Draws Manga Adaptation For Live-Action HiGH&LOW Franchise This Spring

This year's sixth issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that manga creator team CLAMP will launch a manga adaptation of the HiGH&LOW live-action entertainment project this spring.
The Road to HiGH&LOW film premiered in theaters on May 7. A second film titled HiGH&LOW The Movie premiered in theaters on July 16, followed by the HiGH&LOW The Red Rain film, which opened in Japan on October 8. A series of live performances titled HiGH&LOW The Live ran from July through October across Japan.
The HiGH&LOW project announced on December 31 that HiGH&LOW The Movie 2 will premiere in theaters on August 19, followed by HiGH&LOW The Movie 3 on November 11.
In the story, a legendary powerful team called Mugen once dominated a town. The group faced resistance from the formidable Amamiya Brothers, the only ones willing and powerful enough to not give in. In the end, Mugen suddenly disbanded and the Amamiya Brothers disappeared without a trace. Afterward, a group of five gangs — Sannoh Hoodlum Squad, White Rascals, Oya High School, Rude Boys, and Daruma Ikka — take over, calling themselves "G-SWORD" and naming the area "SWORD" after their gang names.
Manga artist Masami Hosokawa launched a manga adaptation of the original drama series in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in October 2015. Akita Shoten published the manga's third compiled volume on October 7.
CLAMP is a four-member manga artist team that has created manga series such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. The group is drawing the character designs for the Kabukibu! anime series, which premieres in April.
