Crunchyroll Adds G Gundam Anime to Catalog

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Show available worldwide except Asia

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it has added the Mobile Fighter G Gundam anime to its catalog. It is available to Crunchyroll users worldwide outside of Asia.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

It is time for the Gundam Fight tournament! Each country sends a Gundam to Earth for this prestigious tournament in the hopes of winning power and glory for their homeland! But this time, there's an unseen evil lurking behind the scene. Domon Kasshu, Neo Japan's reluctant Fighter, is determined to uncover this evil and clear his family name! The fight to the top begins now!

The series premiered in 1994 as the first Gundam television series that was not set in the Universal Century timeline of the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime. Yasuhiro Imagawa (Giant Robo, Seven of Seven) directed the anime. Bandai Entertainment produced an English dub for the show, which aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami block in 2002. Bandai Entertainment also released the series on DVD. A Blu-ray Disc release for the show shipped in Japan in two volumes in September and November last year.
