posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Original PS Vita visual novel shipped in Japan in November 2014, in U.S. in October 2015

Idea Factory opened a website on Friday to reveal that its and Design Factory's Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ (Code:Realize ~Sōsei no Himegimi) PlayStation Vita game and the Code:Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ PS Vita fandisc game are both getting a port for the PlayStation 4. The website is streaming a promotional video for the game, which Idea Factory originally showed at the "Code:Realize Fantastic Party" event in Kawasaki City on Sunday.

The PS4 port is titled Code:Realize ~Saikō no Hanataba~ (Code:Realize: Rainbow-Colored Flower Bouquet), and Idea Factory will ship the game this year in Japan. The game's limited edition retails for 9,936 yen (about US$89), the standard edition retails for 7,776 yen (US$70), and the downloadable edition retails for 6,912 yen (US$62). The game will also have PS4 Pro support.

The original visual novel is getting a television anime adaptation that will premiere in October, and is also getting a stage musical.

Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ originally shipped in Japan for the PlayStation Vita in November 2014. The game features a steampunk aesthetic and a cast of literary and historical figures, including Arsène Lupin, Abraham Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein, Impey Barbicane, and Count Saint-Germain.

Aksys Games released the game in North America and Europe in October 2015. Aksys describes the story:

Restricted to an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of London in fulfillment of a promise to her father, lonely Cardia lives day to day isolated from the world. Her body carries a deadly poison that rots or melts anything her skin touches, prompting the locals to call her a “monster.”

Her last conversation with her father two years ago, telling her to stay out of sight and never fall in love, is the furthest back she can remember. One day, her quiet solitude is interrupted as the Royal Guards break in to capture her. It is then that Cardia meets Arsène Lupin, a chivalrous thief, who helps her escape the soldiers' clutches. She soon finds herself on a journey with Lupin to locate her father, who holds the answers to her mysterious condition. The two are soon joined by four more interesting and handsome gentlemen…

The game received a fandisc titled Code:Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ for the PS Vita in Japan on November 24, and Aksys Games announced in July it plans to release the fandisc in English this year.
