Voice Actor Keiji Fujiwara Plans Return to Work

Voice actor Keiji Fujiwara's agency Air Agency announced on Friday that Fujiwara is taking steps to slowly start resuming his work. The agency stated that it will continue to take Fujiwara's condition into account while he resumes his work.
Air Agency had announced in August 2016 that Fujiwara was taking a break "for a while" from his voice acting activities to undergo medical treatment for an unspecified illness.
Several anime works have replaced Fujiwara in the past year, including Crayon Shin-chan and Crayon Shin-chan Gaiden (as Hiroshi Nohara), Attack on Titan season 2 (Hannes), Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga (Shirō Fujimoto), and Uchū Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi (Isami Enomoto).
Fujiwara has also played roles in Baccano! (Ladd Russo), Hunter × Hunter (Leorio), Galaxy Angel (Volcott O'Huey), Ushio & Tora (Shigure Aotsuki), Gintama (Hattori Zenzou), Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (Hinahoho), Fullmetal Alchemist (Maes Hughes), and Durarara!!×2 Shō (Kinnosuke Kuzuhara), among many others. He also voices the role of Axel in the Kingdom Hearts franchise and Ardyn in Final Fantasy XV.
