"Youth love idol story" set during 70s centers on boy who leaves countryside for Tokyo

The September issue of Kodansha's Morning two magazine revealed on July 22 that Yumiwo Kobayashi is launching a new manga series titled Hoshikuzu Prince - The World is Waiting for Us (Stardust Prince: The World is Waiting for Us) in the magazine's next issue on August 22.

Kobayashi posted a preview image for the manga from the September issue on July 23.

The magazine describes the manga as a "youth love idol story." The story is set in the '70s during television's Golden Age, and centers on a boy who lives in the countryside with his family who runs a hotel. A certain event leads him to Tokyo.

Kobayashi launched the Nigakute Amai manga series on Mag Garden's web comic magazine EDEN in November 2009, and ended it in February 2016. Mag Garden published the manga's 13th and final volume on March 8. The manga inspired a live-action film adaptation last September.
