Daisuke Hagiwara, Shizuka Totono's Ne Ne Ne Manga Ends

Yen Press publishes manga digitally about naïve married couple with big age gap

The September issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine published the final chapter on Saturday of Shizuka Totono and Daisuke Hagiwara's NE NE NE (Nen Ne no Ne) manga. Square Enix will publish the manga's one compiled volume on August 26.

Yen Press has been releasing new chapters of the manga as they debut in Japan, and the company describes the story:

What's it about? Married off to a man more than twenty years her senior, Koyuki has no idea what her new life has in store for her. She's so in the dark, in fact, that she hasn't even seen her husband's face! But Koyuki isn't alone in fumbling through the intricacies of wedded bliss. Mask-donning Shin might have many years on his young wife, but as it turns out, he's just as naïve as she is! Will this pair of innocents ever get past their awkwardness (and the age gap)?!

The series began in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan as a short-term serialization in July 2016. The third and final chapter ran in September, at which time the magazine announced that the manga would relaunch as a full series in 2017. The series began again in the magazine's March issue on February 10. Hagiwara provides the art and Totono writes the story.

Hagiwara launched his ongoing Horimiya manga in Monthly G Fantasy in 2011 as a spinoff to HERO's Hori-san to Miyamura-kun four-panel school comedy manga. Square Enix will release the 11th volume on August 26. Yen Press is publishing the manga in North America, and shipped the eighth volume on July 18.
