Toriko's Shimabukuro Publishes 2 More 1-Shots on September 6

New gag manga one-shots

This year's 18th issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine announced on Wednesday that Toriko's Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro will publish two one-shots titled "Jijī 100%" (Old Man 100%) and "Halftime" in its next issue. The 19th issue goes on sale on September 6.

The announcement states Shimabukuro will hit readers with "a gem of a gag." Weekly Shonen Jump announced in April that Shimabukuro would publish a new one-shot in Grand Jump this fall.

Shimabukuro previously published a one-shot manga titled "Chingiri" in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine as well as the one-shot gag manga titled "Warai no Ōji Penpenpen" (Prince of Comedy Penpenpen) in Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine in April.

Mitsutoshi ended his Toriko manga in November. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for eight years since 2008. Shueisha published the manga's 43rd and final compiled book volume on December 31. Viz Media published new chapters of the manga digitally simultaneously with the Japanese release in its digital English version of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and published the 39th volume on August 1.

The manga inspired a 147-episode television anime series in 2011-2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series, and Funimation released part of the series on DVD. The manga also inspired several anime specials and crossover specials, and an anime film in 2013.
