Hirotaka Noda, Kazuma Kano, Hisashi Murata, Ryōsuke Katō join cast

The official website for the second stage play adaptation of Tsukiji Nao's Adekan manga revealed additional cast members for the play on Thursday. CLIE, who is once again producing the play, had announced the new stage play on June 25.

Yō Hosaka is returning to direct the play and write the script. The play will debut at the Haiyuza Theater in Tokyo on December 13, and will run until December 17 for nine performances.

The play will feature new characters and actors, which include:

  • Hirotaka Noda as Kenichi Wakabayashi
  • Kazuma Kano as Yugami
  • Hisashi Murata as Harusumi Sakura
  • Ryōsuke Katō as Akito Utsumi

Ensemble cast members include Agatha Okada and Teppei Yoshino.

The returning cast includes:

  • Keito Sakurai as Shirō Yoshiwara
  • Takuma Suehara as Kōjirō Yamada
  • Shun Mikami as Anri Yoshiwara
  • Marina Tanoue as Mutsukuchi
  • Takeshi Hayashino as Shinzō Tachibana

The first play ran in Tokyo in March-April 2016.

JManga described the series as follows:

Shiro, a sexy loinclothless umbrella maker and Koujirou, a policeman with a passionate sense of justice who stands against all things undisciplined, together get caught up in erotic, grotesque and bizarre crimes in the back streets of what appears to be the Meiji Era of Japan.

Nao launched the manga in Shinshokan's Wings magazine in 2008, and Shinshokan published the manga's 11th compiled book volume on June 25. JManga had published two volumes of the series digitally before the site ended service in May 2013.
