Crunchyroll to Stream Food Wars! Anime's 3rd Season

Crunchyroll announced at the "Food in Anime" panel at Crunchyroll Expo on Saturday that it will stream the third season of the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime as it airs in Japan.
The new season is titled Food Wars! The Third Plate (Shokugeki no Sōma: San no Sara). The season will premiere on October 3, and will follow the battle against the Council of Ten.
The following cast members will return for the third season:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Sōma Yukihira
- Hisako Kanemoto as Erina Nakiri (returning from the original video anime and event anime, as original voice actress Risa Taneda is still on hiatus for her health)
- Akira Ishida as Eishi Tsukasa
- Shizuka Itou as Rindō Kobayashi
- Rie Kugimiya as Momo Akanegakubo
- Kana Hanazawa as Nene Kinokuni
- Yūki Kaji as Terunori Kuga
Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's manga previously inspired two television anime series. The first anime season aired for 24 episodes from April to September 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the first anime adaptation as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America. Sentai Filmworks also licensed Food Wars! The Second Plate, the second anime season. The 13-episode series aired in July-September 2016, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
