posted on by Karen Ressler
3-vs-3 fighting game will have closed beta next month

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a gameplay video for Dragon Ball FighterZ on Monday, previewing gameplay for Android 18. Her brother Android 17 fights with her as part of the same character selection.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the three-versus-three fighting game on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Europe will release a "CollectorZ Edition" that will include an Goku statue, three art boards, and steelbook packaging. Those who pre-order the game in Europe and North America will get an unlock code for Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and two lobby avatars.

A closed beta for the game will take place on September 16 to 18.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.

Bandai Namco Entertainment teases the game's story:

With the resurrection of Android 16 and the invasion of the mysterious army corps, the super warriors starts to fall. What is happening?

The playable cast includes Goku (Super Saiyan), Teen Gohan (Super Saiyan 2), Vegeta (Super Saiyan), Future Trunks (Super Saiyan), Freeza (Final Form, Golden Freeza), Cell (Perfect Form), Krillin, Piccolo, Android 18 (with Android 17), and Android 16.
