DAOKO, Yasuyuki Okamura Perform Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond Anime's Ending Song

The official website for Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond (Kekkai Sensen & Beyond), the second anime season based on Yasuhiro Nightow's Blood Blockade Battlefront manga, revealed on Monday that DAOKO and Yasuyuki Okamura will perform the anime's ending theme song "Step Up Love." The site also revealed the anime's October 7 premiere date.
The anime will premiere on MBS on October 7 at 27:08 (effectively October 8 at 3:08 a.m.), and will then air on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 8 at 24:30 (effectively October 9 at 12:30 a.m.).
The new series will explore the connection between Michella and Leo and will also explore the mysteries of the "All Seeing Eyes of God."
The returning main cast includes:
- Daisuke Sakaguchi as Leonardo Watch
- Nana Mizuki as Michella Watch
- Rikiya Koyama as Klaus Von Reinhertz
- Kazuya Nakai as Zapp Renfro
- Yū Kobayashi as Chain Sumeragi
- Hikaru Midorikawa as Zed O'Brien
- Ai Orikasa as K.K.
- Banjō Ginga as Gilbert F. Altstein
- Mitsuru Miyamoto as Steven A. Starphase
- Yūma Uchida as Sonic Speed Monkey
BONES is once again animating the new series. Shigehito Takayanagi (Galaxy Angel A, The World God Only Knows, Dagashi Kashi) is taking over as director of the anime from the previous season's Rie Matsumoto, and Yasuko Kamo (Dagashi Kashi) is also taking over series composition duties from Kazunao Furuya. Toshihiro Kawamoto returns as character designer and chief animation director, and Taisei Iwasaki returns to compose the music.
Unison Square Garden is returning to perform the opening theme song "fake town baby" for the anime.
