Full 3D remake has new graphics, voice overs, rearranged music, slated for February 15

Square Enix began streaming a teaser trailer for its remake of the Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2) game on Wednesday. While the video features the same footage as the previous teasers, it includes details on the game's Collector's Edition.

The game's physical Collector's Edition release is available for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita release. The release will include a pop-up storybook, a soundtrack with arranged music, and three character figures.

The remake will feature full 3D graphics, voice acting, and rearranged music. The PS4 and PC versions will feature three-player multiplayer, and the PS Vita version will support ad-hoc multiplayer. All versions are slated for release in Japan, North America, and Europe on February 15, 2018.

Those who pre-order the game in all three regions will receive DLC "moogle suit" costumes for Randi, Prim, and Popoi, a "tiger two-piece" costume for Primm, and a "tiger suit" costume for Randi and Popoi.

Square Enix released the original game on the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1993 as a sequel to Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure), and the game is the first in the series to not bear the Final Fantasy franchise name in the title. Square Enix recently re-released the game in Japan on the Nintendo Switch alongside the first and third games on June 1.

The Seiken Densetsu franchise marked its 25th anniversary last year. The original Seiken Densetsu -Final Fantasy Gaiden- (Final Fantasy Adventure) game debuted for Game Boy in 1991. Square Enix released a remake of the original game for PlayStation Vita as well as iOS and Android devices in Japan in February 2016. The English version of the game simultaneously launched for iOS and Android devices under the title Adventures of Mana, and launched on PS Vita in June 2016.

Square Enix released Seiken Densetsu 3 for Super Famicom in 1995, and the game has never shipped in the West or for another system.

The Seiken Densetsu: Rise of Mana game launched for iOS and Android devices in 2014, and Square Enix released the game for PlayStation Vita in 2015.
