Kino's Journey TV Anime's 2nd Promo Video Previews Ti, Nagi Yanagi's Song

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
New Kino's Journey anime premieres on October 6

The official website of the new Kino's Journey anime, Kino no Tabi - the Beautiful World- the Animated Series, began streaming the anime's second promotional video on Wednesday. The video includes the first video of the character Ti and previews Nagi Yanagi's opening theme song "here and there."

The website also announced that a Twitter campaign is offering three copies of the special "KinoWalker" booklet signed by original light novel author Keiichi Sigsawa and character designer Kouhaku Kuroboshi. People can retweet the campaign announcement until October 17 for a chance to win.

The series is the newest television anime adaptation of Keiichi Sigsawa's Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World light novels. The anime will premiere on AT-X on October 6 at 10:00 p.m., and will then air later in the evening on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11. Crunchyroll will stream the anime, and Funimation will dub the series.

The anime's cast includes:

Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 4 the Golden Animation, Persona 3 the Movie #4 Winter of Rebirth, Twin Star Exorcists) is directing the anime at Lerche. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, Hina Logi: from Luck & Logic) is in charge of series scripts. Ryoko Amisaki (Sumomomo Momomo - Chijō Saikyō no Yome, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc) is adapting Kouhaku Kuroboshi's original character designs for animation. EGG FIRM is credited for production.

Nagi Yanagi (A Lull in the Sea, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Bakemonogatari) is also performing the anime's ending theme song.

The story follows the travels of Kino, a young adventurer who rides a talking motorcycle named Hermes. They explore the people and cultures of different places throughout their adventures, spending only three days at each location.

Sigsawa began serializing Kino's Journey in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki HP in 2000, and Kadokawa shipped the 20th volume last October, and the 21st volume is slated to ship on October 7. The novel inspired a 13-episode anime in 2003, and movies premiered in 2005 and 2007.
