Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns' 3DS Update Previews Gameplay in Video

New version of 2010 DS game ships in Japan in December

The official website for the Bokujō Monogatari: Futago no Mura+ (Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns+ or Story of Seasons: The Tale of Two Towns+) Nintendo 3DS game from Marvelous began streaming an introduction video on Thursday. The video previews gameplay and the possible activities in the game.

Marvelous announced the game on Tuesday. The game is slated for release in Japan on December 14.

The game is an enhanced version of the original Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns game, with improved controls and StreePass support for item sharing. The original game shipped for the Nintendo DS in Japan in 2010, and for North America and Europe in 2011 and 2012. North America and Europe also got a Nintendo 3DS release of the game, which was never released in Japan.

Natsume published most of the previous games in the franchise under the umbrella title of Harvest Moon in North America. However, since XSEED Games — Marvelous AQL's own subsidiary — published the Bokujō Monogatari: Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi game for Nintendo 3DS in North America in 2015, it cannot use Natsume's Harvest Moon title. The game instead debuted under the title Story of Seasons in English. XSEED Games released the latest game, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns (Bokujō Monogatari: Mitsu no Sato no Taisetsu na Tomodachi) in North America on February 28.
