Both manga debut on November 17

The official website of Square Enix's GFantasy magazine revealed on Wednesday that the magazine's December issue will launch manga adaptations for the DYNAMIC CHORD anime and the KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm anime on November 17. Shiho Inaba is drawing the DYNAMIC CHORD manga, which adapts the currently-airing anime. Sumika Sumio is drawing the KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm manga, titled KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm Party Time, which will be based on the film.

DYNAMIC CHORD follows the musical careers and personal lives of several bands under the "Dynamic Chord" agency and music label. The show's in-universe bands are progressive rock band rêve parfait, veteran rock band KYOHSO, newcomer rock band Liar-S, and global performers apple-polisher.

The anime premiered on October 6. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, and HIDIVE is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.

KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm opened in Japan in January 2016, and was a spinoff of the Pretty Rhythm franchise that centered on the boys unit "Over the Rainbow." The film initially launched in 14 theaters, but eventually opened in more than 130 theaters after its popularity spread, selling about 460,000 tickets for about 800 million yen (about US$7.8 million).

A new sequel film titled King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO opened in Japan on June 10. The film sold 47,000 tickets to earn 82 million yen (about US$746,000) in its opening weekend. The anime debuted at #7 at the box office.
