Sounds like they recreated Saban's edits, then. I wonder how much that cost them.

That's what I told people, but they really think it was possible, seeing as the US edit had their own opening and ending. I THINK it's possible to do it by the use of the original Japan uncut edition. Guess we'll figure that out when it comes out. |

For the most part recreating the OP's visuals would just be a matter of hunting down the clips Saban chose to use(more tedious than difficult). I doubt they created any original footage, so the hard part would be recreating any edits to the actual image.

This set is currently mispriced ($34.86) @ Walmart.com (http://www.walmart.com/ip/21678194). The MSRP is $79.95 and not $49.96 (listed by Walmart.com). It will be interesting to see if Amazon.com pricematches this one.

Oh please, Amazon has the thing listed at retail price. They've been doing this more with animes they've been getting in. RightStuf has been beating them in prices for most titles. |

People can request pricematch with the price and the listing URL. They only pricematch the main competitors like Best Buy and Wal-mart. As for Amazon.com prices, they can be very competitive. It's all about timing with the respective sales. They typically run more anime sales toward FUNimation and Viz Media titles. They very rarely have Sentai Filmworks titles on sale though. And just for the record, very few new releases gets sold at MSRP @ Amazon. This Digimon set was on sale toward the beginning (~$56) and it kept on going up. It became full price sometime middle of last month. |

It's worth requesting a pricematch, at the very least. I did that with the Bobobo set when Walmart had it really cheap, and they changed it then! As it is, I'll just preorder it at Walmart and hope that Amazon gets their act together. I'd rather buy from Amazon than Walmart...

This is one of the few Japanese shows that requires only an intermediate level of Japanese to watch and understand the raws. I already have the first few seasons from CDJapan.
I'll probably pick this up anyhow for nostalgic reasons. |

Awesome! Hopefully we can keep this up all the way to Frontier. I don't really like Tamers, but Frontier is great.
