This came out of nowhere...wasn't even on Netflix's "coming in September" list.

The real question that's weighing on my mind: will MAL consider this anime or not?

WHAT IS THIS? Why does the Protagonist looks like Lil-Pump

Reminds me a little of some American cartoons back in the 2000's that tried to add that anime style, like Martin Mistery, Totally Spies, etc.

This could be good... or pure cringe fest... I dont know

Probably Not. This falls in the same group as Chinese/Japanese animation co-productions.

Is a American/Japanese animation co-production made in Japan for a American company with western audience in mind.

The most used definition of anime is animation made in Japan with a Japanese audience in mind.

Is it just me, or does this look (and sound!) awful? The first screenshot I saw looked like it was simply lifted from a webcomic. And the voice acting is atrocious.

This honestly exceeded my awfulness expectations. Looks like absolute trash. I hope it fails in every way.

How can this series be real if the eyes we watch it with aren't real?

I read about this on Twitter yesterday and thought it was a joke, like that Fidget Spinner anime ...

All that really matters is if it is entertaining, not so much that it needs to be "good".

If this is tongue-in-cheek as it appears, it might actually be decent. But if this was supposed to be serious, well... Rolling Eyes

Man I wanna like it but the visuals in general look super lazy, from character to design to animation.......mostly that character design holy shit.

Wow, no. Who thought that was a good idea? The only way to salvage that is leaning into so bad it's good.

The character designs look like they were done by a high schooler in 2003 who just got into anime. The animation looks very low budget as well. Guess all the money went to paying for Jayden Smith....what anime fan cares if he does a voice?
