Ok so I was browsing Netflix and found this.
http://www.netflix.com/Search?ff2_submit.x=0&ff2_submit.y=0&v1=Ah+My+Goddess

There seems to be more than one according to this... one that came out in ... 1993???

So... waht's with that?

I'm gonna guess it's a mix up. Right...?

Interesting. Looks like ANN does not even have place for DVDPacific link... Why? It's cheapest place out there (if you don't count "limited time" sales)...

There's no mix up, it's exactly as you see it. As Clodus said, the 1993 one is an OVA, 6 episodes long. It covers the beginning of the story, and has an original ending. The 2005/2006 series are a remake. The 2000 movie is set a couple of years after the Belldandy and Keiichi first meet, and can stand alone (assuming you know the characters, more or less).

So it is. I just assumed six because that's a more common number for OVAs than five, and it's been a while since I watched it.
