This series would be so friggin' awesome if it had something to do with My Bloody Valentine.

Sadly, that's not the case and it appears to be your average, run of the mill yaoi crap. Still, no matter how low J.C. Staff sinks, they will always have a special place in my heart for actually putting out Cat Soup.

It would be appreciate by many if you stop it with the CRAP and stop denigrating the shounen ai/yaoi genre. I honestly don't get why some people like you feel the need to insult a certain genre, calling it crap, just because it's not your kind of thing. You should just shut up for once.

Personally, LOVELESS is one of the most anticipated series for me this year. Like most of the fangirls, i'm obsessed with the manga. it's so good that i had to buy the import the japanese version just for my complete collection. xD

Why shouldn't I call it crap? It's very demeaning to gay people. All full of stereotypes...almost like a minstrel show.

Oh, and next person who calls me politically correct gets smacked with my autographed copy of Hate #4

I've read the manga. It's not Yaoi... which I usually have no taste for. This is very good. I was impressed.

Because it can offend many people who are fans of yaoi. How would you feel if someone comes to your favorite anime thread and starts bashing it and calling it crap without any backup statements?

Okay, here you go again without backup statements or proof. At least provide something to show that it is demeaning to gay people.
I'm assuming you have never read any shounen ai/yaoi manga. It is not demeaning to gay people. Yeah, some might contain some sort of stereotypes but it was meant to depict stories of gay men and not to be offensive. Most of the fans of yaoi/shounen ai are girls(like me) but i have known alot of gay or straight people who loved a certain shounen ai series(for example, Gravitation).

I wouldn't care that much if some nameless Internet person started calling my favorite movies crap. They're probably just some complete wanker, what do I care what their opinion is? Besides, that happens to me all the time - Cat Soup is "too random", Night on the Galactic Railroad is "boring", Hakkenden 10 was "drawn by monkeys", etc. I just brush them off.

I really don't care what you think, the fact that you registered here just to argue with me proves that I won't ever change your mind. You can go back to watching gay people sing and dance and screw for you, doesn't matter that much to me.

btw Ayu, I can't believe no one took that user name. I guess you're a lucky Ayu fan. ^^ I hope you stick around! Very Happy

^Hehehe yeah i was surprised no one took this name yet seeing how popular she is and every forum has this nick registered and i had to add-on some 1 or 2 etc. Laughing
-----------

jfrog - If someone claims an anime is "too random" or "boring", it is not offensive! It's like what you said, an opinion. In this case, you're saying the whole "shounen ai/yaoi" genre is "CRAP". I'm sure anybody who enjoys this genre will be offended by your dumb and ignorant comments. I'm just throwing in you some common manners. I wouldn't go into one's thread and saying SHIT about their favorite anime. I would just ignore it if it really does bother me.

This statement proves that you're a very childish person and don't even bother replying to this since i'm not even going treat you as someone i'd respond to.

I'll check this series out just to see Yuiko. She looks like one spunky catgirl. Cool

You want me to actually put some thought into this, instead of just a bunch of one-off sarcastic comments? Fine.

I completely ignore yaoi. The only reason why I payed this any attention, the only reason why I commented in this damn thread, was because the series has the same name as one of my favorite records. So I decided to make a one-off comment, entirely meant to be forgotten.

And I personally think that it's very sad that people are "fans of genres." I just look for quality, well-told stories. Quality is not something found in yaoi since it is based around a "LOOKKIT THE GAY PEOPLE!!!" attitude and therefore any serious stories about same-sex relationships (which generally do not make a big deal out of the characters' orientations) would fall outside of it...if you can't see that there's no helping you.

Then why DID you respond to my post? You registered here just to argue with me, a nameless Internet person. Look...I don't want to start a flame war, so I'd like it if you'd just drop it, ok?

I really didn't think i would respond to any of your comments anymore but it has gotten out of hand and your rediculous comments are truly getting on my nerves.

Funny. And this is coming from a guy who has never seen or witnessed shounen ai or yaoi shows in general. First of all, i want you to understand that shounen ai and yaoi are totally different and LOVELESS, is a shounen ai series, not YAOI. Second of all, How can you confidently claim that quality is not something found in yaoi in spite the fact that you have obviously never seen or witness any of them? If you have, you wouldn't say it doesn't contain quality because i am sure quality exist in yaoi and in other kinds of genre that no doubt exist. There are tons of shounen ai/yaoi series that are well told in terms of plot and story. YAOI does not have the sign that says "OH LOOK, GAY PEOPLE, YAY!" Ignorant bigots like you do not even have the right or credibility to say that. And funny how you say it like it's a FACT.

Then why DID you respond to my post?

I responded to your post in the first place because i couldn't stand seeing people like you bashing and denigrating shows that i love. I was merely standing up for it and defending it.But after seeing more of your comments, it feels like it's useless to even defend it since all your comments are just childish and contain no evidence, proof, not even examples, all but false facts.

Honestly! I come here looking for some Loveless discussion, and all I find is a yaoi debate!!

Well, I'm incharge of the Loveless site "Fate" (the second of the links here I believe). Loveless has amazing art and an interesting plot. The characters sometimes seem cliche, but they all have unique spins on them.

About the anime... in general the first episode stayed true to the manga, but Yuiko is the only character that came off as having real emotion. Soubi and Ritsuka were a little... empty.
