Read title as Tool[e] in Japan at first. Looks like fun. Didn't expect to see Black Lagoon cosplay.

I would never have realised the cats were cosplaying as Sheeta and Pazu if it weren't for the Laputian symbol.
I'm forced to assume they are locals and that is their Spot, as I wouldn't have thought they'd sit still otherwise.

I wonder if Tool will ever release a new album...

But anywho, spetacullar cosplay. Boy I wish I were in Osaka that day. Keep bringing more news and photos from your trip to Japan, sir.

The JSDF mascot makes me cry tears of ironic joy.

I can think of few other countries in which such a system could ever pretend to be effective.

What an amusement your odyssey has been so far, Mike! One question remains however. Save for the friend you bumped into, did anyone take your photograph?

There's also few countries where staff would see a cosplayer being swamped by pervy men & think "this situation calls for a countdown!"

Good stuff. It's fun to see the goofy stuff, like the mustachio'd Princess Peach, exists in Japan too...usually only the sexy or highly technical stuff really gets attention out here.

(By the way, I'm pretty sure that "Super Sonico" is supposed to be a sexy Gloomy Bear. I don't know why I know that.)

Were there a lot of other western cosplayers? It's cool that he ran into some he knew.

JSDF, but no GATE cosplay in sight? For shame.

The Osaka street fest usually gets a few silly ones in amongst the popular / technically impressive ones. Last year for example had someone dressed up as a Wall from Attack on Titan, and a group of friends as the Exodia card from YGO (Not as the monster, but the cards).

The detail on the Porco Rosso cosplayers costume was nice as well (the pose made me laugh a lot for some reason?), and I happy that someone was going as Konata from Lucky Star (because she'd definitely be the one of the first ones there). Also was it just me or did there seem to be a lot of Monogatari Series cosplayers there?

There was a Rori in the album at the bottom of the article.

Pretty interesting that there were Mario, Attack on Titan, and Osomatsu-kun cosplayers. If there were any Doraemon, Nintama Rantarou, or Ojarumaru cosplayers, I would've fanboyed to those pictures!
