That VR support is completely unneeded. SE is taking a decade to develop this game - and rather than polishing it and getting it on store shelves, they're spending money adding features nobody wants. If this game flops, they're screwed.

I'm inclined to agree. The FF13 series had a reception that was mixed, at best,14 ended up being pulled and redone, and this has been in the works for a very long time, so it would make more sense to focus on the core game, instead of adding to it. I'm guessing they are hoping that some people will get it to see what RPGs might be like on VR, but it's hard to imagine somebody being on the fence and holding out for a completely different experience to be added.

I'm pretty sure this is something that Sony forced on Square to help drive sales for the PS-VR, but I think we can all agree it looks tacked on and half assed.

Then again with a movie release coming up and an OVA series as well, I can kind of see square doing this themselves so who knows. I'm hoping that FF XV and FFVIII remake signify a return to grace for Square.

Same here to what I thought about Sony well in years Square really did a very good game of Final Fantasy that even I and my kids loves to play until now. so hoping they do add something thrilling on remaking of the old ones to make more fun and delightful to us gamers Very Happy
