Even more good news. Glad I held off from buying the DVD versions.

Oh wonderful, AllThemAnie had said they were trying to get a Blu-Ray for the UK release, but Sunrise had said that it had to be for all English speaking territories. So with this they can now do that.

My sincere thanks to the people who bought it on DVD (I hadn't gotten to it yet), because now I can get it on Blu-Ray! You folks who bought those DVD sets are great. Pat yourselves on the back.

I'm really looking forward to getting this on Blu-Ray. Turn A Gundam is a mostly low key, but really well-balanced Gundam series with some excellent characters and character development. It doesn't hurt that it has Yoko Kanno's music.

I'm so glad I held off on Turn A Gundam on DVD & I'm going to repurchase Martian Successor Nadesico on Blu-ray. Otakon has been like an early birthday surprise with all the great announcements. Very Happy

Disappointed that 0080 is only getting a DVD release. I already have the DVD version but I would gladly pay for a Blu Ray version of one of my favorite entries in the Gundam franchise.

I love 0080, too, but it won't get a BD release in the US until it gets one in Japan.

A dub would be great, oh well.

A dub would generally be a waste of recourse for a show like this. Turn A would probably never be put on TV so the cost wouldn't offset.

Nice! I'm glad I didn't get around to getting the Turn A DVDs soon enough.

I like how RightStuf finally got around to releasing Blu Rays with Gundam and the upcoming Utena sets. I hope they are considering ARIA Blu Rays at some point (although I guess that would have to be like 2-3 years from now at least since the Japanese Blu Rays only came out last year and this year).

Worth emphasizing:

The company will also offer a program where customers can exchange their Turn A Gundam DVDs for Blu-ray Discs.

Very, very cool of them. They certainly didn't have to do that, and I wouldn't blame them for not doing it, but they're doing it.

It's been a real relief seeing the whole Gundam catalog come back, and come back so quickly, with everything that was missing, after those post Bandai years where things got stupidly scarce and confusing and it wasn't easy to point anyone anywhere. I'm still bitter Bandai Entertainment got killed the way that they did, but at least Gundam's in good hands here again.

not quite. right stuff is no bandai.if they were still around and considering how well turn a sold, bandai would have finally given that series an english dub version and from the looks of things there is no plans of right stuff/nozumi ent doing that. not to mentioned they gave build fighters fans a massive middle finger by pulling a NIS America & having both series be release with the god awful animax asia dub version. right now for them ,its more or less a rope a dope when it comes to which gundam series warrants an english dub. series like IBO , Unicorn and the origin movies get a very well made version with a highly good anime studios like bang zoom and others doing the dubs, while G Reconguista get a sub only release and build fighters got the worst treatment via animax asia version. so while it a good thing that its getting released in the US again, for dub viewers, its a serious rope a dope cause the series they want to see might not get an english dub version.
