Damn I was hoping for atleast 24 episodes since there are 11 completed volumes of the manga so far. Well hopefully if the first twelve do well there will be another season. Confused

Not sure how lewd the manga/anime gets, but an AT-X airing is good news if there's censored broadcasts on the other channels.

That said, I can't really recall an ANN news article simply stating that X anime is going to be single cour. Pretty odd.

So the show will have nearly as many exclamation points as episodes.

I'm not expecting much more than a functional fanservice oriented piece, but I'll check it out.

Ask the author. The number of exclamation points comes straight from the Japanese title. 競女!!!!!!!!

Forgive me but I'm astonished this got made at all. If this anime is brought over here, the themes alone are going to give feminists heart attacks. I can't imagine any voice actress in this country worth her salt doing a dub for this show and not doing this under a pseudonym just to hide her embarrassment. I can imagine the National Organization of Women (or N.O.W.) or every other feminist group protesting this thing if it ever shows up here.
Now,I admit the girls are very cute in this show, but it's going to have to take more than just fanservice to see if this'll be successful. It has to has to have at least a coherent story. Cute girls flashing their assets around isn't going to take this anime very far. Let's see how far this goes.

Who cares what feminist or what other groups think. This political correctness thing is going to far.
Sorry, but this thing of don't doing some anime/movie/book just because some people got offended just rub me the wrong way. We live in free countries (I hope).
If they don't like, don't watch. As long as this shows do not harm anyone. form me there are no problem. There are things that i think is offensive, so i don't watch them, I don't go to the streets or TV's or internet against it.

And there is no problem with voice artists dubbing this show. If so, there was so many shows don't had dubs because many of them are like Keijo!!!!!!!!

If you look for the manga you find that Keijo!!!!!!!! have a good plot and even the fan service is not was heavy as you think.
This will be successful. Think of it as Free! for a male audience. If Free! had success, Keijo!!!!!!!! will have success also.

It's funny but it's actually a lot more than this. I was fooled at first as well.

I think a proper description for this would be Shokugeki no Soma's over the top-ness and usage of fanservice combined with the pumping feeling that Haikyuu! gives you. Oh and the sport is actually really creative and goes in depth, was surprised. In the end it's a solid battle shounen with a BUMbastic premise ( sorry ).

Disappointed with only 12 episodes (though my bank account just breathed a sigh of relief). Really wanted my animated East vs West war greatness. Can only hope the anime is done justice and it's a success.

There is a great story here that hooks you in straight away, the comedy is some of the best I've seen with ludicrous moves, the actual sport is surprisingly deep and complex and it goes further than many other sports series as spoiler[they actually enter the pro world of the Keijo].

I'm only at chapter 41 atm. I figure that this East vs West war is later on, right? Because from the PV it looks like they will keep the start very short and jump to the early 20s, so basically straight to the point.

Well to me this certainly has the formular for success due to fooled expectations and obscurity. The majority of people simply expect less from it than it actually is. This combined with the obscure & hilarious nature and the intense sport might be a money making idea, who knows? Very Happy

Well...Twelve episodes is better than 180-300-second shorts. I'm sure they'll be packed with lots of fun spontaneity with plenty of...you-know-what...to go around! Smile
