Geez. Those YouTube comments are poison. So much dub hate.
It's a shame FUNi's superb One Piece dub gets so much hate, while the more flawed DBZ dub gets way more praise. It's criminal. Actually, even compared to FUNi's other dubs, OP's dub still gets more hate. The One Piece fanbase really is one of the worst. -__- |

Most youtube comments are unhealthy when it comes to an Anime dub that isn't Dragon ball z from the 90's. I love the One Piece Dub and this movie they got talent from New York and L.A. Which is amazing and because of One Piece's large large cast they keep finding new talent some might have heard of in parody dubs. ;D But I understand where you mean, old DBZ dub is flawed and not perfect. And the only reason why it gets praised is due to nostalgia reasons. And the Kai dub is light years better then the old Z dub. The reason why the OP dub probably gets so much hate because it's 2016 and people think that 4kids are still active or they haven't gotten over 4kids dubbing One Piece, which was license rescued 10 years ago next year. Most Funimation dubs I prefer over their subbed versions, FMA, Panty and Stocking. Yu Yu Hakusho. |

Well I didn't see that many sub elitist comments in the video ,but I get what you mean, those guys are annoying. In fact it kind of makes me glad FUNimation made this a dub only release if only to spite them and for an extra slap in the face not olnly did oda ultimately choose the english voice actors for the Straw Hat pirate ,but he considers them to be their true voices. Usually I find the bigger the fanbase is and the more behind the dub is the more hate the dub will receive, that's why the dubbed version of shows like Naruto, Bleach & Fairy Tail recieve more hate from the vocal minority than many other dubs. Yeah, you know what else I find funny, out of all shonen jump series that have received a dub, the old DBZ dub and Yugioh are often the most praised despite being among the worse in quality. |

The One Piece dub is great with the real stand outs being Chris Sabat as Zoro, Sonny Strait as Usopp, Stephanie Young as Robin, and Ian Sinclair as Brook. I think Luci Christian as Nami, Eric Vale as Sanji, and Brina Palencia as Chopper are also great. Patrick Seitz as Franky is one of the most hated of the One Piece VA's and I don't know why I think he does a good job. Maybe he isn't the best out of the crew but overall I like his performance. My least favorite of the Straw Hat dub VA's is Coleen Clinkenbeard as Luffy and while I far from hate her in the role I definitely don't love her. I think she does fine in the role but she is definitely my least favorite of the Straw Hats. |

I think Colleen's Luffy is one of her best roles next to her Riza Hawkeye. My favorite performance from her are the scenes where Luffy fights Lucci. |

Can't say I'm surprised. That's why I avoid video comments in general.
It is a shame though, because I think One Piece is one of FUNi's best dubs. I honestly prefer One Piece dubbed, and it's one of my favorite dubs of all time to boot. But I'm not going to let myself get hung up on what version fans prefer. I'm just excited that the dub sounds as great as always, and I'm looking forward to seeing One Piece in theaters for the first time ever. . I wouldn't worry about those Dub hater AKA "Weeaboos" You could have actors like maybe, Johnny Depp or something being an OP VA and people would still whine about it. That's just the Anime community for ya. Still love tho

I'm not completely sure here,but I think that I'm getting a serious Las Vegas vibe here from that clip. I've gotta admit,they couldn't have made it more obvious if they tried. It's pretty obvious that they got inspiration for this from Las Vegas. And they're not shy about it,either. I repeat,they couldn't have made it any clearer if they wanted to.
