Seems good my only worries are microtransactions and old titles exposure. Vote for RD Nephenee.

Microtransactions is what Nintendo investors want. I just hope they keep the nickle and diming doesn't get out of control.

This game looks interesting, so I'll check it out once it's available for iOS.

I finally made 200 posts! Very Happy

I just realized this opens the possibilities of the redesign of all characters in the old Fire Emblem games, like on the SNES. This game might be really attractive for die hard fans.

I've seen it said that the iOS version is later, but this tweet (https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/821882448531189761) from NOA says it will be released on Feb 2 for both, so...?

Yeah... If Kingdom Hearts Unchained is any indication of how a game with microtransactions is run, I am out.

You can't even call those "microtransactions". They're expecting you to pay $15 a week for their VIP pack. And the amount they expect people to pay for medals is so outrageous I don't even want to do the calculations, because I'm pretty sure I could buy a professional Loree oboe with the amount of money some individuals spend on this game (For those of you who don't know: That's $9,000 or so).

So-called "microtransactions" are going to be the end of gaming. Just the fact that Nintendo is developing an Animal Crossing game for mobile makes me cry already. Unspeakable "microtransaction" horrors will happen in that game, I just know it.

With so many characters from different Fire Emblem titles of differing eras, Fire Emblem Heroes is shaping up to be a fun smartphone title...as long as Nintendo won't let the microtransactions get out of hand.

Voted for Lyn from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Cool

I don't have much experience with mobage because I don't care about them in general, but I played Love Live, Bleach and Super Robot Wars X-O and they all had a very similar working scheme, which means that Fire Emblem Heroes will have a similar one as well. There's a limited time you can enjoy them while you're still swimming in the gacha money and can buy character packs (which are always gamble) and then grinding for the next draw can take up a lot of time, sometimes even months. The problem with these games is that even if you do pay with real money, it's still a gamble. It's like 60bucks normally for the highest draw and I've seen posts of people only drawing R characters and wasting their money.

That's essentially what this is. Pay 80 dollars for a chance to get what you want. If you don't, try again and spend another 80 dollars. Purely designed to take advantage of consumers, especially those with addictive behaviors. Definitely the type of game I avoid, and it's a shame seeing it happen given Iwata said gacha would never happen with Nintendo since it would devalue their IPs and its a scummy practice to use on their fans.

In that case, then it probably won't be too long before Fire Emblem Heroes starts crashing and burning. Yes, this sort of practice really speaks of pure greed...

I prefer this over the Super Mario Run model. After all, I have patience and zero intention of spending money on a free-to-play, so I'll just enjoy it for free much like the other games like this I've played. There do seem to be a good load of modes to try out, the grinding RPG-ish aspect appeals to me and I love the idea of mixing up Fire Emblem characters from every generation, so this will probably be a good one for me to have during small breaks or whatever.

Anyone who has played Phantom of Kill can probably predict how the gameplay will be and how the microtransactions will work. It's basically a rip-off of Fire Emblem, down to weapon triangles and random stat level-ups. On the positive side, it is challenging to a point, but you can often still beat a level by over-depending on another player's character you invite into the stage before you play it.

Wonder if they'll leave in the touching feature in the US version or take it out again.
