I'm expecting a 2nd season considering the tsuzuku watermark at the end of the last episode.
The KF train can't end with just 1 season.

Wonder if the second season could get a morning/children's timeslot...guess that depends on how the repeat next month does.

This should definitely be happening. I think it will be a second season, but yeah, "second term" is how I originally read it. Hopefully that's what it is. I really want more time with them all! And Kaban's story really isn't finished yet at all.

Season 2 is inevitable. It has to happen. Kemono Friends is too good to be gone.

Declining to make a sequel to this series would be as wasteful an opportunity as not doing so for Yuri on Ice. A comfortable return on investment is all but guaranteed.

Great news though the first season did take over 500 days to make. Hopefully they were able to increase their 10 person production team.

Question is, will they be able to retain the magic? After all, it was far far larger than the sum of its parts...

Nice to hear on the continuation! Enjoyed the first season. Just hope they'll tighten up the character models.

It'll be really interesting to see if they actually do improve the animation. Given an inherently part of the appeal is the way it looks, it's gotta be a bit of a difficult question for the team to answer, I imagine. I don't even know what the right answer would be myself, honestly. I'll probably love it either way.
