The answer to the "Megumi or Erina" question is always Nikumi. That's just the rules.

Become? Cooking has been it's own genre for decades at least since Oishinbo (which is from the 80's).

Minor nitpick: restauranteur should be restaurateur. No "N".

Megumi was, is, and always will be my best girl, but I have to admit that after Stagiare I was all aboard the Soma/Arato ship, even if it has no chance of happening in canon. Author really makes it sound like no one's ships are going to sail at all, though, and maybe that's for the best.

I think the last question should have been the Erina or Megami question. If you want to end an interview with a bang, a shipping question is 1 way to do it.

Im sure itll show up in the story sometime in the future but I wish you guys couldve asked about Soma's late mom and her story with Jou.

P.S Wish Tsukuda and Saeki could make outcomes a little less predictable especially considering the latest chapter release

It's nice to see that Saeki and Tsukuda are working in Ashirogi Mutou style (a style that Ohba and Obata aren't using themselves, ironically). So, it's Saeki's idea to do those foodgasms. Of course, it was him. He's tosh after all.

That is a really funny way of saying Arato but anyways... Razz

Honestly, Soma getting roped into a relationship at this point would seem rather forced. As the author points out, Soma don't really know that romance is a thing and that is ingrained in his personality. He is way too focused on learning his craft than getting a date, which would explain the MANY deadpan, oblivious responses he gives when it comes up (particularly with Nikumi, it's something running gag with her).
It's just not in him to care about getting a partner while he is around to learn, everyone would get treated the same with that in mind.

Hahaha I like your rules man. I definitely like all 3 but if you take Sojiro's statement to heart then the only answer is Erina. She'll push him to be an even better chef. He'd love to cook for her tsudere self and prove her wrong. I don't think Megumi or Nikumi can do that.

That been said, I don't want any hook up for awhile. Let them grow to like each other.
