The only surprise is it took this long for a full feature movie adaptation to see the light of day. I wonder if it's something new that even source material fans haven't seen before, a rehash of previous seasons or an adaptation of as-yet unseen material.

But what are the chances this will get released here? Unless Crunchyroll gets to stream it at least when it's out on home video in Japan.

I may have to import my first Japanese film. Smile

This is great news! Though I have to wonder if it'll be original material or not. Either way I'm up for it.

Aaaw, this might be my favorite show of all time. Love the writing, the characters, the colors and animation. Such a sweet and heartfelt show. Too bad I reside in Norway. I rarely get to see the limited releases you see here and there in the States, unless it's a Ghibli movie or something comparably popular.

Shueisha opened a website on Sunday

Hakusensha is the publisher for Natsume, not Shueisha.

Boy, the gasps and squeals when the announcement was made at today's event... This has been a long time coming. It's supposed to commemorate 10 years of the anime. I wonder if it will be an original story or something out of the manga.

With the new Sound Theatre in January and now a movie, there's a lot of good things for Natsume fans to look forward to in 2018.

The latest season looked especially good so I look forward to more.

Does anyone know if the anime's caught up with the manga or if the manga's finished?
