FINALLY! Was beginning to wonder, but I guess it makes sense since the episodes have wrapped on Hidive.

Finally! Now we just need to know how the releases are going to be split up / priced.

Kinda wonder how well this will all sell. Will it be DVD sets only I'm guessing?

No, because Sentai is phasing out DVDs.

Took them long enough.
It’s shame the release will not come out until after the new series is out. Oh well. At least I hope they release them in BD and not only DVD.

Also the series has been released in Bluray in Japan so it will mostly likely be on Bluray

Yep, finally. In a the AWO podcast Daryl Surat said that part of this delay may be because Sentai received the video without captions for the onscreen information of the characters.

My guess is that the first 108 episodes and movies will be in 4 sets. The other 52 episodes could be divided into 2 sets. If the sets are BD, sub-only they could be priced at $80 MSRP or $100 MSRP if they are dubbed. If there is a dub Sentia could offer LE sets for $160-170 MSRP.

Finally! This series has been overdue for a North American release by at least 2 decades.
Between this and some of the things coming out from Discotek my DVD budget will be maxed out early this year.

People still are thinking the original will be dubbed? xD
If anything is going to get a dub its probably going to be the Production I.G version coming out next season.

I'm curious: which of today's existing companies do you think would have dubbed a non-mainstream 110-episode series from 1988? Even during the height of the "everything gets dubbed" mid-00s bubble period, LoGH didn't even get licensed at all, let alone dubbed.

I doubt this series will get dubbed, but not because it’s from Sentai. It won’t get dubbed because it’s a very long and niche series from 30 years ago. Sentai does dub most of their newer shows.

Lately Sentai has dubbed about half of their new stuff, not most of it. Logic says that LotGH will not be dubbed by Sentai. But I will not be shocked if they dub it, especially if they give it pricey LE's that would allow them recoup some of the cost.
Also, I think the release will be BD only.
