Finally someone is helping to resolve the crippling isekai anime shortage.

I give the author points for going with Norse mythology though it is amusing that the protagonist uses a solar powered smartphone. Also I haven't read anything about the light novels but based on that announcement image the show might be a bit controversial.

I hope he's not the usual bland, non-entity we get as a harem lead. But his character design doesn't give me much hope. The Norse setting sounds like the only possibility we'll get anything fresh out of this.

I haven't read the novels yet, but from what I hear a big difference is that the protagonist doesn't have any crazy powers at all, he's just a normal kid, so that might help differentiate a bit from the recent "overpowered isekai protagonist" trend we've been seeing lately.

With 13 vol. released so far, we easily have enough for at least 24 epi. Since a LN-based TV anime often covers up to 2-3 vol. (sometimes 4), we could get a 2nd series with at least 12 epi.

Okay, surprising news. Shocked

For those curious, the MC in this series absolutely does not have any cheats or superpowers, only factual knowledge he learned by making use of his smartphone. The story actually makes a two year skip from the time he first arrived in the other world to when he's already treated as a respected ruler and got things running.

The story's actually pretty refreshing with how the MC only likes the one girl he left behind.

TBH, I can't imagine how the anime will be. I just hope it's not rushed.

That sounds like another excuse to avoid having the MC develop an interest in his harem or any girl he meets, which isn't refreshing at all.

Ini the novels, he's actually conflicted because of it. That's what makes it refreshing IMO.

Anyway, yeah, it does sound generic as heck. I thought that way when I first saw it too.

EMT Squared adapts Seiichi Takayama, Yukisan's Norse-inspired fantasy

I originally read that as "non inspired fantasy" and thought "Well, of course it is."

But reading further,... well, of course it is.
