Not surprised. These kind of manga seem to do better in digital format.

Um, No Otaku culture was effectively started by fujoshi. And popular Otaku gathering spaces like Comiket are still majority women. If anything this magazine died out because it couldn't compete against the hundreds, of shojo, josei, bl and tl magazines that saturate the market.
