Good timing for the animated adaptation. If there's more story to be animated even after all this, there's at least a definitive endpoint in sight since it's based on a historical event.

They'll either skip a lot of stuff or completely butcher everything by adapting 10 volumes into 12 episodes.

The show is not popular so many wouldn't care if its butchered

Still, popular or not, it's a shame.

I'm sure as heck they skipped lot LOT of stuff. The pacing doesn't even feel like it's adapting 10 books. I was planning to buy the raws to see the story after the anime, but considering it's adapting everything I guess I'm gonna wait for scans to read from volume 1.

I only read the first volume to compare at the start of this season and the pilot adapted the first 50-ish page chapter basically one for one. This news though explains why the show is already so weird and why there is no time for anything. Adapting nearly one volume per ep. is nothing new but it never works.

I, for one, am glad the show will end at a natural stopping point and not mid-arc. I'm just surprised that the manga kept going after the end of the Tsushima conflict.
