Kinda not surprised, considering NISA wanting to stay on localizing games. For Nyaruko, I'm taking my bets Sentai will nab this next.

I managed to get the first season of Nyaruko (the LE) for a reasonable price, but wasn't able to get the second season before it went out of print. Hopefully someone else will pick it up. I kind of remember the show fondly since it was one of the earlier anime that I saw (probably causing some of it's referential humor to go over my head) and also the first series I ever watched on Crunchyroll.

That's quite sad; I was sad when NISA stopped licensing anime, but I held out hope that the final Nyarko OVA would get a release. I guess that'll definitely never happen now.

I'm not surprised. They've shown zero interest in anime in the last few years. I think their last release was the Love Live! movie. I made sure to get Toradora (though not the sweet premium edition, just the basic BD release that, for some reason, is in a DVD box) and Genshiken Second Season last summer, because it was clear they were probably going let the licenses expire. I wish I had the money to get the Love Live releases. Hopefully when I do have the money they'll still be around.

Was always disappointed the "final season" was never licensed for this one. It's what stopped me from buying it. I hope someone else licenses the series...but don't really know the chances of that happening.

No surprise there since they are focusing on games now, which is kind of a shame since they released some very reasonable premium editions.

I wonder what the avg., if any, length that an anime license lasts in the U.S. I know that it does vary greatly: a Fall 2009 anime title might still be streaming on CR/VRV whereas a Fall 2011 anime title may have lost its streaming license 2.5 years ago.
