TOFU RECORDS ANNOUNCES:

And finally, and a bit unexpected we have NANA KITADE's "18 -eighteen-" which drops on 7/11

"Nana Kitade, although only 18 years old, is quickly becoming one of the most notable fashion icons of Japanese music. With her energetic mix of pop and rock, she has emerged as the emblematic image of "Gothic Lolita" style, a mixture of black roses, lace, petticoats and fishnets for girls aiming to look like porcelain dolls of the Victorian era. In the West, with the popularity of Japanese pop culture and "Harajuku Girls" on the rise, Nana Kitade is sure to resonate with the growing legions of JROCK and Gothic Lolita fans in the US.

Nana Kitade was discovered by Sony Music Japan at auditions in 2002, and released her debut single Indelible Sin in 2003. The track was immediately picked up as the first ending theme song for the hit anime program Fullmetal Alchemist, and became a sensational hit. She would go on to release more hit singles, including the track pureness in 2004, which was also picked up as the theme song to the anime program BEET the Vandel Buster. With both these notable tracks, as well as the bonus English version of KISS or KISS included on her US debut, Nana Kitade is poised to make her mark on an American audience."
