Doubtful since she IS the original Tifa. Knowing Final Fantasy fans, they're probably upset over the "family-friendly" redesign and are too stupid to know who to direct the blame to (not that they should direct blame like this anywhere).

She isn't.
Original seiyu was Yoko Asada, who was Tifa in Ehrgeiz for arcades in 1998.
Her second voice actress was more known Yuko Minaguchi, who voiced Tifa in Ehrgeiz port for PlayStation, which came later in 1998.

No one can be the "original" Tifa. FFVII had no voice actors.

Manga has no voice actors, yet Jojo already has "original" voices of characters who haven't appeared yet in the anime, due to games of equal validity to Ehrgeiz. https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/characters/JoJos-Bizarre-Adventure/Jolyne-Cujoh/
Some manga get an audio drama before an anime, and the original actors aren't necessarily called back.
But yes, it's possible these people don't care about those other actresses. They may have created their own imaginary perfect Tifa voice in their minds when they first played the game.

Which is bizarre considering how Tifa has not had ludicrous boob size for like 15 years now, since Advent Children at the least.

Ironically the new FF7 remake figure announced for Tifa has larger breasts than her in game model does. Seems the merchandise and supplemental media still portrays her like that

It's one thing to want someone else to voice a character, but making threats to her ON HER COMPANY'S WEBSITE to the point where they got the authorities involved is really stupid. Why waste your life on crap like this?
