Yasuhiro Imagawa is my favourite director, but I was slightly let down with Tetsujin 28. I really liked the first volume, though.

I think the problem with the designs is that they're *too* much like Yokoyama's manga, and not enough like Giant Robo (which took the 60s design, but gave it that 90s make over).

I hear that the last few volumes really bring it all together, though.
